PSYCHIATRIC NURSE PRACTIONER
Position Overview:
As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive psychopharmacological treatment within our residential program, as well as having the opportunity to contribute across our Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient Programs. This position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and provide psychopharmacological treatment to patients in the Residential program.
- Offer expert consultation to a multidisciplinary team and participate in family therapy sessions.
- Attend and participate in twice weekly clinical rounds
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in line with state regulations and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- Certification by the ANCC as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or as a Family Nurse Practitioner with mental health experience.
- Strong clinical communication and organizational skills.
- Experience in working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Background in eating disorders treatment is preferred.
CLINICIAN
Position Overview:
As a Clinician in our Cambridge, MA location, you would work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that clinical work is consistent with the philosophy and objectives of CEDC. This position is Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Orient patient to the program rules/parameters of the Clinician/Patient relationship.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy.
- Assist families in implementing behavioral strategies.
- Provide crisis intervention.
- Develop and update treatment plans.
- Collaborate with patient providers and other outpatient providers.
- Complete clinical documentation as required for the appropriate level of care.
- Conduct initial evaluations, concurrent reviews with insurance companies, discharge plans, and relapse prevention plans.
Required Qualifications:
- Licensed or License-eligible clinician (Psy.D., Ph.D., MSW, LMHC, LICSW, LCSW)
- Confident, articulate and personable
- Comfortable working with patients and families in person, via Zoom, or over the telephone
- Comfortable conducting group therapy
- Ability to multi-task and work as a multi-disciplinary team member and independently with attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of clinical experience providing direct clinical care with psychiatric and mental health populations
- Experience working in the field of eating disorders.
- Strong clinical, communication and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented and ability to multitask in a fast-paced mental health environment.
- Experience with CBT and DBT modalities.
RESIDENTIAL COUNSELOR
Position Overview:
As a Residential Counselor you are a valued member of a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to helping patients rebuild their lives. We are hiring Full Time Day or Evening Residential Counselors working five 8-hour shifts per week with some overtime availability.
Responsibilities:
- Use active listening skills to individually process day-to-day issues with which patients struggle (meal/behavior non-compliance, self-doubt, body consciousness)
- Promote appropriately supportive relationships between patients.
- Maintain appropriate boundaries with patients.
- Facilitate therapeutic groups commensurate with RC training and experience.
- Correctly weigh patients, accurately interpret, and document vital signs.
- Supervise bathroom/shower use for patients. Document and report all clinically relevant information.
- Assist in meal/snack set-up and supervise/facilitate a comfortable meal-time environment (prompt patients to follow pre-established rules)
- Thoroughly document all clinically relevant information regarding patient behavior (e.g., completing Meal and Snack logs, Group Notes, Shift Progress Notes, and Incident Reports, etc.) in a timely manner to treatment team
- Conduct thorough searches for contraband items upon new patient admission.
- If necessary, accompany clients to offsite medical appointments and ER visits.
- Attend the required number of RC Supervision meetings (at least 24 hours a year for full- time employees; at least 12 hours a year for part-time employees)
Qualifications:
- Ability to multi-task and work both with a team and independently in a fast-paced environment with positivity
- Associate degree, BA/BS Psychology or related field (preferred)
- Experience in a mental health/medical or residential facility (preferred)
- Experience with eating disorders (preferred)
- Good written clinical communication skills
- CPR certified within the first three months (certification cost reimbursed)
- MAP certification (certification cost reimbursed
