All CEDC outpatient programs – including our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) – are now being offered in-person and online, so that patients can receive treatment for their eating disorder in the comfort and safety of their own home. U.S. health insurance carriers are now mandated to pay for online behavioral health during the COVID-19 crisis.
Our PHP is offered Monday through Friday from 9:00 a. m. to 3:30 pm and includes a supervised lunch meal each day. Each patient is matched with a Case Manager/Therapist who checks in with them twice a week to monitor progress and answer questions. They also meet weekly with a CEDC Registered Dietitian and a CEDC Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Patients participate in therapeutic treatment modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) among others.
Admission interviews and insurance verification are handled over the telephone. Our caring clinicians and dedicated staff employ evidence-based clinical interventions that allow for skill-building, behavior reduction and management, insight development, and enhanced motivation. Our therapeutic approach encompasses the patient, the patient’s family, and the patient’s other key healthcare providers.
