Transitional living is designed to support females 18 years and older who are in recovery from eating disorders. Its mission is to provide women coming out of inpatient/residential treatment facilities with a living environment that is conducive for life skills development and healthy self-care. Its goal is to assist women recovering from eating disorders with gradual integration back into independent living settings.
At CEDC, we know that recovery from an eating disorder is a long journey requiring on-going support. For many women, returning to regular life after leaving inpatient or residential programs may prove to be harder than thought. Successful recovery requires a period of living in an environment that provides the additional support of outpatient therapy and other outside structure. Living in a supportive environment provides the opportunity for those to re-enter work and school life with newly learned life skills.
