About CEDC

Overview

Dr. Seda Ebrahimi founded Cambridge Eating Disorder Center (CEDC) in 2000 with the mission of providing the highest quality continuum of care in a non-institutional community setting to individuals suffering from eating disorders. CEDC started with outpatient services and soon, adult evening intensive outpatient program was added in order to provide support and therapy to individuals with eating disorders to help them to stay in college or continue to work. In 2004, we started to offer New England's first and only evening intensive outpatient program for eating disorders to adolescents between the ages of 12 – 17. Due to the success of our programs and the need for more intense programs, CEDC started its Partial Hospital day treatment program for adolescents and adults. In August of 2006, we completed CEDC’s continuum of care by opening a 12-bed residential program for adolescent girls and women 16 years and older. Due to increased demand for residential services, we added 10 additional beds to our residential program in October of 2007. Today, our 25-bed residential program continues to serve females ages 12 and older in our attractive non-institutional facility in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Our residential program has grown from being a regional program to a nationally recognized program.

CEDC is located in beautiful and exciting Harvard Square in Cambridge. Our unique serene facility has earned the reputation for fostering tranquility and recovery.

CEDC is proud to announce that we are accredited by The Joint Commission. To view more information about the public reporting concerns to The Joint Commission, click here.
